BMW Z8 is equipped with a standard 5.0-liter, V8, 394-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway.

Here's why:

• BMW Z8 features a power soft top, removable hardtop, an internal "skeleton" structure made largely with aluminum and mandatory 6-speed manual transmission. Also standard are side airbags, antilock 4-wheel disc brakes.
